PDD restores over 70 electricity post gusty winds | KNO

Srinagar, May 27 (KNO): Following the gusty winds and rains in many areas of Kashmir, the Power Development Department (PDD) Tuesday said that it has restored over 70 percent electricity in the affected areas. An official informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that there was damage to several 33KV and 11KV transmission feeders. “As of now, 150 feeders of 33KVs and over 200 feeders of 11KVs are down.” “Our staff is on ground and most likely 100 percent power will be restored till 12Am,” the official said, adding “We are all out on the ground trying to restore electricity in the affected areas.” The official however said that there may be some areas where the damage is huge and may take time to restore the electricity in the affected areas. “By tomorrow, we will ensure that everything is streamlined.”—(KNO)
